Twitter Flight School (TFS) is an online learning platform that offers courses to educate users on how to use the platform for brand promotion, advertising, and social media marketing on Twitter. I was responsible for auditing, pressure testing and redesigning the TFS internal sub-brand in early 2021. This was a wonderful department to support and I learned so much during my time with them.
My first step to update the Twitter Flight School Intellum platform portal was to map the new user journey and more information to the homepage and course verticals so users could make more informed choices. Once the journey was agreed upon I began exploring design treatments for our visual elements. Due to time constraints I had to be strategic in my application of the brand to maintain speed and not distract from content.
To address departmental messaging needs we instituted a multiple banner carousel masthead. This addition allowed for the emphasizing of specific department marketing goals and the introduction of our first user survey,

To announce Twitter Flight School (TFS) relaunch I leaned heavily into the brand tool box. I wanted lots of texture and clear space for messaging. I created a series of simple animated banners using hearts and retweet icons to create visual interest. As always images were curated to be diverse and relatable as we looked to expand our reach. To increase engagement on the platform from Small Business, Angela Sobol, Senior Lead, Publisher Product Messaging created copy and taglines to reach that specific audience and announce the platform update to lapsed members.
