pride summit 2022
Lesbians Who Tech & Allies is a community of LGBTQ+ women, non-binary and trans individuals in and around tech and the people who support them. During Pride Month, Twitter hosted the annual summit at our SF and NYC headquarters.
Ask
Provide signage and 1 color menu for event.
Increases awareness and engagement with events in support of Pride.
Solution
Create event signage, menu, presentation covers, and digital signage in support of the event and of Pride Month.
Using the entire brand kit's expression I created internal and directional signage for the event. I used colors from the Lesbian Pride Flag; orange, white, pink, and dark rose as my palette for the event signage.
For the internall #Pride awareness signage, I created a series of portraits to show the "Faces of Pride" with each poster containing a color from the Pride Flag. In conjunction with the signage I created a series of presentation covers with themed LGBTQ+ group flag color palettes.

#BlackBirds Take Up Space
Twitter Black Birds is the business resource group for Black, African American Tweeps & their allies.
The "Take Up Space" campaign was created to amplify black voices and experiences during Black history month 2022. The campaign featured social posts, presentation materials, and internal digital signage that would be used to support speaker series during Black history month.
Ask
Create a branded campaign to be used for internal signage, OOO and social posts during Black History Month
Solution
I began with creating a wordmark using Chirp and Larry using a combination of thick and thin line weights. The subjects of the images were treated with halftones and texture added. Each poster is bold and in the series uses one of the 3 colors associated with African American Heritage, red, black, and green.

#ONETEAM Many Pronouns
Ask
Find a cost effective way to get more participation in the Human Resources Self Identification Program and spread or values of inclusivity for new employees.
Solution
My solution for both goals started with the Twitter Welcome box. Every employee receives one upon being hired. It usually has paperwork, a welcome t-shirt, Twitter Blocks, and BRG stickers.
So I knew where I could make an impact, but how? What could I add or change? The t-shirt is an easy update and I could add/replace/include stickers to the box. All of which are minimal lifts.
I thought about how addressing someone with their correct pronouns can be a source of tension for many. It is also part of the HR department's initiative to self-identify. What are some visual ways an ally can show their support and provide their pronouns? I began designing the shirt with the 9 LGBTQ+ recognized self-identification pronouns and placed them inside of "Larry"(the Twitter logo). I then combined the Twitter #ONETEAM motto with the simple addition of "Many Pronouns" for the final design.
A low-cost means of messaging is stickers, so I designed 9 different stickers with the recognized 9 LBTQ+ pronouns, and then added the"Larry" and #ONETEAM to the design. The final product can be placed on a notebook or laptop to provide a nonverbal means of communication for coworkers to share and subtly reinforce their preferred pronouns.
To incentivize employee participation to Self Identify, the first 100 people received t-shirts and all others could request their preferred pronoun stickers upon completion.

Black Lives Matter Tweets
With the murder of George Floyd and the quarantining of the nation, the Black Lives Matter Protests began. The incident sparked a months-long wave of nationwide protests against police brutality and related injustices against Black Americans.
Ask
Amplify black voices during a time of civil unrest.
Solution
A series of billboards were created in support of those speaking out in protest to George Floyd's murder and the mistreatment of Black/African American's in this country. I did not spearhead this project, but I was proud to be a part of it.
