UNSHUT
The Ruin is a single-player horror puzzle game where players must solve increasingly sinister challenges to escape an ancient curse. Inspired by chain letters and cursed internet videos, the game immerses players in a labyrinth of eerie clues and psychological tension, testing both wits and nerve.
Drawing inspiration from horror film posters of the 1980s to early 2000s—particularly The Grudge and Saw—I crafted a visual identity rooted in tension, distortion, and unease. The logo blends aesthetics from iconic horror titles with chromatic aberration effects, evoking the glitchy, analog eeriness of late-night horror programming like The Outer Limits or The Prisoner. To extend that experience across the site, I applied a subtle green tint to imagery and used a simplified, high-contrast color palette. Deep blacks, moody gradients, and vivid red CTAs guide users down the page, reinforcing genre cues while building narrative suspense.

Social campaign
To support the release of The Ruin, a psychological horror game, I developed a social media campaign that visually conveyed key themes of fear, pressure, and isolation. Drawing inspiration from horror film posters, I focused on imagery that communicated tension and unease—using tight crops and high-contrast photography to emphasize a sense of confinement.
The campaign featured a desaturated color palette with elevated highlights to achieve a cinematic tone. Each asset was designed in a 1080x3240 vertical format, then divided into three square posts to form a cohesive grid on the game’s social profile. Content was scheduled in consistent bursts—three posts per day, twice weekly—to build momentum and maintain visual continuity across the campaign.
