Ruah Community Outreach is a San Francisco Bay Area non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that services economically disenfranchised urban populations.

Ruah is a faith based organization that works with religious and secular communities. I felt the religious aspect of their logo should be understated but representative of their beliefs. I made sure to incorporate these needs into the client's identity package.

​The home page of the website was designed for maximum impact, to ensure visitors understand both the need for the organization and its vital role in the community.

DV

DUROJAIYE VERSATILE, INTERNATIONAL DJ

SAN FRANCISCO, CA

Durojaiye Versatile has created musical scores for TV and films (most recently, CSI Miami and the acclaimed indie film Light of Mine). He is a featured DJ at multiple Bay Area venues. My goal was to design a logo reflective of the soulful music he creates.

 

The simple flow of the logo represents his relaxed personal style. The swoop and center of the "d" is reminiscent of a vinyl record. The design has been used for apparel as well as marketing collateral such as stickers and album covers.

GLOBAL WOMEN'S COLLABORATIVE

COMMUNITY

SAN LEANDRO, CA

Evolve is a community whose goal is to change lives globally through coaching, mentoring, trainings and inspirational speaking. The organization focuses on helping to remove the masks that we hide behind, positioning us to be our true selves and achieve happiness.

 

The logo was designed to encompass the "live out loud" nature of the group and the strength of female unity. The website design reflects the mission statement in its simplicity and theme.

BISTRO AT LANEY

OAKLAND, CA

I was one of two design students chosen from the Graphic Arts Department at Laney College to rebrand world-class Laney Bistro in partnership with the Culinary Arts Department.

 

The need was to widen interest in the restaurant, a destination well known to Oakland’s Foodie Nation population, and promote the school’s culinary program and catering services. Our solution was to create a strong logo and focus all marketing collateral on the visceral appeal of the cuisine itself.

 

Together we crafted a clean, professional identity for the restaurant.

COG

LITERARY MAGAZINE

SAN JOSE, CA

COG is an online literary magazine curated by the students of Cogswell College. Cogswell is rated among the top 20 video game design schools by the Princeton Review.

Utilizing the design brief from the client and the institution’s color palette I created the logo and website.

MELODIUS GEMS

SAN FRANCISCO, CA

Melodious Gems is a small production company based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The client wanted a simple, recognizable logo for use across multiple marketing platforms.

 

It was his love of the piano that provided the creative direction for the logo. Utilizing thick block letters reminiscent of piano keys, I added empty space as black keys, reinforcing the client’s visual message.

MVP BODY WORKS

SF BAY AREA, CA

MVP Body Works specializes in massage therapy and bodywork. MVP has a sports medicine focus but provides relief for everyone from athletes to weekend warriors – and anyone suffering from debilitating injuries that keep them from enjoying life.

 

Currently MVP is just one person, but the business is positioned to expand. My goal was to make sure the name of the company and the website could gracefully accommodate this growth. This required a new brand and website.

BOULEVARD BURGER

SAN LEANDRO, CA

Boulevard Burger is a San Francisco Bay Area restaurant serving fresh organic meals. Previously, this client was using several disparate logo variations for their signage, shirts and menus.

 

The enlightened-eats, fast-casual “all-natural” selling point was not underscored in previous logo designs, so I made it a prominent feature of the final logo’s descriptor lines.

 

I created a versatile logo for cohesion across menus, signage, apparel and marketing material.

WEBION

Concept Design

UNKOWN

Webion was a project that I competed for against several other designers. The final concept was due within 48 hours of acceptance of the bid.

 

I did not win, but I learned that I was capable of designing in a very short period of time. I learn something from every project. In the end, I really enjoyed the final design concept.
